Singer: My Panado will help you heal

Afrobeat singer, Martin Khan wants to help people deal with stress.

WHILE many people suffer from mental health issues, others are clueless about the condition.

But an artist from Cameroon, who is based in Cape Town, believes people in Mzansi need to be educated about mental health.

Martin Khan wants to help people deal with stress and the hectic days they go through. And the 22-year-old Afrobeat singer said his recent song Panado is meant to ease people’s troubles.

The Oh Mama hitmaker, who has worked with He Produced It from Cape Town, Chukido and Nhlonipho said he wants to give people something inspirational.

Panado, just like a pill, is a song that makes you want to start pushing when you hear it on radio at the end of the day when you are done with work,” Martin said.

He said mental health is not talked about enough.

“At the same time, I do believe we have to make things strong and that’s because of the reality that we live in.

“It’s important to acknowledge wellness but at the same time we need to know that no one is out there to save us and it’s a cold world. The ones who persevere are going to reap the rewards. You’ll get far in life, if you have that mindset,” he said.

Martin said he is the man of the people.

“I’m here to share the music, culture and the pain that we go through as Africans every day.”

He said his song is receiving airplay on Ukhozi, Umhlobo Wenene, Motsweding, Lesedi and Gagasi.

“If you ever feel like giving up, listen to this. Panado is yours. Thank you to my family, my team and most importantly every person supporting the movement. This is just the beginning,” he said.
