First Lady of Mozambique Visits Child Welfare Institution in the Capital

ALGIERS- On Thursday, the First Lady of Mozambique, Isaura Vera Nyusi, visited the Child Welfare Institution in the western part of the capital city, where she toured various facilities of the institution.

During her visit, the First Lady, accompanied by the Minister of National Solidarity, Family, and Women’s Issues, Kouthar Krikoo, explored different structures of the institution and received explanations about the national system related to the protection of vulnerable children.

On this occasion, the Mozambican guest expressed her country’s readiness to exchange experiences with Algeria in the field of child protection and women’s issues.

Isaura Vera Nyusi also visited the National Museum of Fine Arts, the Palace of Raïs El Djazaïr, and the Martyrs’ Memorial, where she admired Algeria’s historical and cultural landmarks.

In turn, Minister Krikoo emphasized the importance of “exchanging experiences and expertise in the field of social affairs with Mozambique, especially in the areas of child protection, women’s issues, and caring for people with special needs.”
